"The Toblerone Luggage Project"

"The Toblerone Luggage Project"
As part of a final project in the "Visual Perception Course", we were given a brief where we had to choose a common, contemporary consumer product, or one that is no longer in production but familiar to our generation, and express through visual means the encounter or use of this product.
The purpose of the project is not to advertise the product, but to illustrate an experience.
Technique and format - free to choose.

I chose to use the "Toblerone" chocolate bar.
The experience I remember most from this product is that it is first of all very tasty!
But the second experience I remember most from this product is the wait and patience that one of my loved ones will travel abroad and bring this snack on his way back from the Duty Free.
This is because when I was younger, the only way to get Toblerone in Israel was only through the Duty Free.

I chose to create the “Toblerone waiting experience” using the luggage waiting experience on the airport conveyor belt.
This tedious wait that catches us after a flight, the wait that takes long minutes for our suitcase to arrive.

To visually link my experience from the Toblerone to the experience of the luggage, I actually created a "Toblerone luggage conveyor belt" where the luggage is painted in the familiar colors of the Toblerone, and took inspiration from its unique shape in creating some of the luggage shapes themselves.

This project was made in Adobe Illustrator.
