During my Bachelor's, I learned to work with knits. The tenant inspiration for my project was the skin or, in more scientific terms, ´the epidermis´. The epidermis is the top layer of the skin. It is composed of the rough protecting layer, as well as the jelly inner-part we see when we cut ourselves.

First, I picked interesting images of  the epidermis. Then, I created similar textures using patterns and different knitting techniques with the flatbed knitting machine.

P.S. Even though I did not pick ´knits´ as my specialization, I can appreciate the dedication and patience that one has to endure in order to complete such a project!
