Superabundance Book Cover
It is kind of a long story.
The turquoise color came from a color palette of mine I created months ago based on a picture of the ocean in Curaçao. It also happened to be almost identical to Pantone's color HOPE, which they chose in honor of World Oceans Day. See more here.
The painting in the background is Severin Roesen's Still Life with a Basket of Fruit. I intentionally picked a stilleven piece painted by a German, although this movement/genre is known to be Netherlandish. Roesen also happened to marry a Wilhelmine (the German/Dutch version of my first name). And, come on, there is nothing I would not eat from that basket. More on Severin Roesen here. The word "Superabundance" is broken down into two different words. The cover is also divided into two distinguishable blocks: a turquoise one and a white one. Two big concepts: connectivity and continuous growth, are represented by the way each word grows into each block. White in turquoise. Turquoise in white.
