Students of Idyllwild Arts Academy enjoy the full gamut of winter holidays and this year called for a special animated season's greetings.This story needed to center the school, hook our viewers, and end with a warm image of unity & diversity all in 30 seconds or less. Oh, and justify a sizable social media ad budget! This task was a fun opportunity to employ my storytelling, marketing, and social psychology education to get the greenlight.
I focused on snow-play, a near ubiquitous snowy experience, and the specificity of the campus’s natural beauty and wildlife. Familiar animals evoke memories of campus and having them look on with curiosity elicits the audience to do the same. Revealing the logo and message center the school once more, this time with all our various forest critters intermingled, brought together by a shared art experience.
