The stanza I chose is "Tyger Tyger, burning bright,  In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?" written by William Blake. I wanted to use this poem and stanza because I was able to come up with the idea I wanted very quick. After looking at many poems I had the most interest in creating a photoshopped image of The Tyger . First I visualized what I wanted to create a sketched it out on a piece of paper.
I did not put too much time into the drawing because it was a sketch but I was able to get a basic understanding of what I wanted in front of me. I found a better picture of a tiger in motion instead of facing straight on and I thought it would make a cooler effect. I also thought that adding a forest that is on fire in front would show how the tiger is burning the forest that it is touching. I also added extra fire so that I could show the flames and emphasize how the tiger is on fire.
I used these three images in order to create the background. I found my images I used on the website Unsplash.com so that I would not face copyright infringement on my final product. In order for it to blend well I used layer making and a soft brush. I also used adjustment layers to make the colors of each image more cohesive. I added the far right photo later because I thought it would make the background more interesting by adding the element of fog and more contrasted trees.
To make the tiger seem more powerful I used an image of fire and placed in the tiger. I wanted to make the tiger look like its eyes were made of fire so I also put the fire image on its eyes. I also decided to make smoke come out of its mouth because I was how dragons breath fire and when they are done smoke will come out of their mouth.
After I out the fire on the eyes I decided it would be even better if I added fire to the fur of the tiger. I warped the same image of the fire so that it would be cohesive yet different enough. I also used gaussian blur to make the tiger look like it was glowing and I turned up the contrast so the tiger would appear more red-orange color. I also darkened the background with adjustment layers and a layer with a black soft brush that I turned the opacity down.
My last few finishing touches were adding more sparks on the edges of the final image so that it would be more clear that the tiger is spreading the fire than it just being in one area. I duplicated each spark section and blurred the copied one bind it so it would glow a little bit. I also used a soft black brush and went around the edges of the canvas because it would help show how the tiger was glowing in a dark forest. I used a photoshop brush that looked like small marks in order to make the fur look like fur instead of a weird solid blur.
The far left brush is the brush I used for the outer fur details of the tiger. The middle brush is the brush I used for all of the masking on my project because it helped blend everything the best. I used the sparks image for everywhere I thought the sparks would look the best. In order to mask out the black background I use the blending mode "screen" so the black would be masked out also make it higher contrast and look brighter.

I feel like I met the rubrics standard for the highest score because I showed my level of skills on photoshop in my final product. I also think I explained my materials and explained the reason why I chose the materials. I also explained the process I went through well while I was making my art rather than just saying I thought it looked pretty.
