finn/wake
A typographic installation, “finn/wake” created a night-dream passage from James Joyce's Finnegans Wake. Where Ulysses is a book of the day, Finnegans Wake is a book of the night. Joyce purposely obscures what our eyes can (and cannot) see/read by collaging over 17 different languages.

Originally exhibited in the University of Michigan Warren Robbins Gallery. Also exhibited in Chicago, IL + New York City, NY. Materials: masonite, wood, paper, steel, aluminum. Type constructed using Autodesk CAD/CAM (computer-aided design + computer-aided manufacturing) software to generate tool paths that directed the laser-cutter machine.

finn/wake was awarded an International Design Award in the category of Exhibition Design.
