Design for special projects with important and life-changing messages requires a special approach.
I was asked to visualize a book by ICRC Armenia (International Committee of the Red Cross in Armenia) to raise awareness about mines in border communities and their sad consequences. The book is for children aged 11 - 15 to learn how to deal with the deadly threat of landmines, explosive remnants of war, shooting, and shelling through word games, game exercises, crossword puzzles, comics, and other interactive parts.
Considering the recent war situations in Armenia, mine awareness is one of the most actual and important problems. The book also includes informative parts and tests.
My purpose was to design it with a friendly and easy understanding approach full of colors and images.
