Sketchbook of Adventures Vol. 2, 35/60
A portrait of an otherworldly ruler wearing garnet red accessories and a cape over his golden and deathly-white physique. He is a legendary emperor who led his people to countless victories. Although human in appearance, he takes on a pair of great white wings each time he descends from his heavenly throne.’

My latest work is a portrait inspired from the marble statues of Roman emperors. While looking through my art history books, I studied details of busts while looking through my art history books. I have finally made a portrait of a man facing the viewer as a subject by myself. My other masculine portraits are all profile or side-view. Majority of my portraits in my body of work depict women. I always found feminine features simpler to do because of the softness and curvy features. It was a good time for me to try something new, something I have been in doubt for a long time.
