Having a bit of a slow time, crawling may way with art block peppering me in the leg like the pain it is. Sooo I went back to my art roots which is and always has been warrior cats.
In the world of feral battle cats and the fandom the designs alone are enough to get me interested and I honestly believe my art style came from seeing so much of it. Though now I'll be showing some pieces I've done recently.

Played around with the shape of the fluff which is commonly used with warriors ocs and is also my personal joy as fluff is just so fun to draw.
For the ginger cat I got to make her mane more wild with the leaves in her fur sort of hinting towards a more wild personality with the fluffy fringe being amazing as a way to try and show her anger.
The other cat is when I got to play with ear fluff and just made it ridiculous and fell in love with it giving this pretty girl over to me which I honestly adore and named Violet'moth for her soft colour pallet and almost Dumbo silhouetted ears.
I had to put some of my inspiration here, I honestly adore how creative people can be with the fur not just the patterns and colours but the very shape of it as it can give personality and identity even imagining how Violet'moth would move with her giant ear fluff, I imagine it half looking like wings when she jumps going to the moth part of her name and she could even hide her face behind them. Similar with Acorn I could imagine her hiding her head in her fur and also it all brisling up like a flame shape to show her anger.
All images found on Pinterest, I really love the app and look on it a lot for inspiration!

the giant raincloud fur or the mohawk of the mother cat it all gives personality and that's what my goal is with all these newer designs and recent sketches and pictures to think over the details and try to give more unique shapes and details to my battle cats.
Now this was all more experimenting sad thing is I've not really looked deeply into brush tools but was excited to use them here! I used a few different shapes to try and show the moss on the ground, the more drag tools as a way to dapple the nature surrounding the group I also finally used the masking tool which I feared doing wrong to try and make the shading faster and gracious it was faster and a god sent! I really enjoyed this and I haven't done a lot of scene pictures but hope to do more!
