The Col d'Izoard
The Col d'Izoard is an alpine pass located in the French department of the Hautes Alps, in the center of the Queyras massif in the Cottian Alps. It connects Briançon in the north-west with Château-Ville-Vieille in the south-east.
With its 2361 it is one of my favorite French passes, it is not very high, but its colors make it truly unique, you can often see it on television, on the occasion of the Tour de France, two plates, almost at the top, to remember the great Fausto Coppi and Luison Bobet appear out of nowhere, on one of the many rocks that delimit the road, as a former cyclist, a bit of envy for all the cyclists who, with their faces marked by suffering, parade me to climb to the top. Some pictures taken along the way, good vision.
