A playful combination of illustration and photography.

A few years while I was working in the CBD, I started taking photos of the buildings and architecture around Johannesburg City Centre. The aim was to build an Instagram account of abstract views of architecture, but due to a change in jobs, I left the CBD and dropped the project.

I recently stumbled across the archive again when looking through old hard drives. While browsing through the gallery of photographs, I was inspired to bring the abstract back using illustration. From when I took the photos to when I created these images, so much had changed, in some cases for the worse, but as in my case, the change was for the better. Change is constant, and always on the move, its up to you what you make of it.
