Ballot Box is a semester-long project resulting from weeks of research about voting demographics in the state of Delaware and nationwide. In order to increase the participation of voters in the age group of 18–26, the app is designed as a social media that encourages political discourse and knowledge in a beginner-friendly way. The icons along the bottom are as followed:

FORUMS: For political discourse and social interaction, guided by an algorithm tailored to you, or filter between different topics. Conversations are removed if against community guidelines

VOTING INSTRUCTIONS: A 3-step guide with helpful links and an FAQ

ELECTION STATUS: To stay up to date with votes as they come in during elections, or view the countdown until the next election

CANDIDATE PAGE: Easily view the candidates with links to their websites

PROFILE: Earn badges for participation in the app and in elections as well as a yellow circle around the profile after voting. Statuses shown are followers/following, as well as comments, since the app is centered around discourse and communication. Access settings at the top through the drop down arrow
