Joining the realm of the NFT-based video game Axie Infinity is Axie Gang, a buy-and-sell community for Filipino players and eSports enthusiasts alike.
Bringing a fresh and cool look that still belongs to the colorful gameplay, our approach to the brand design offers some quirk to the trustworthy up-and-comer. Inspired by The Axe Gang of Shanghai in 1921, the pun led to the logo— an Axie decked in a gentleman’s clothing with axes just like their namesake. The color swatches used for their assets integrate the bright colors of an Axie: purple hues in Bossanova and Biloba Flower, Turquoie Blue, green Jonquil, Yellow Orange, and Neon Carrot. The chosen hero font is Halloween Hex, a sans serif, gothic style that suits the universe Axies thrive in, followed by Formale Grotesque B1 and N3. All in all, Axie Gang communicates their expertise in building teams through a fresh, interactive design for everyone.
