OBJECTIVE: To develop a wordless picture book for use with multilingual children ages 6-10.
SOLUTION: A fun, colourful and easy t o follow wordless picture book. With the use of hand painted backgrounds, a playful contrast between textures covers all pages. Picnic on the Moon introduces a lonely astronaut on his way to have a picnic, which then comes across a friendly alien. After a moment of uncertainty, the lonely astronaut and friendly alien exchange peace offerings. Thereafter, they share in the picnic on the moon. With this story, I aim to emphasize that everyone can be friends- no matter what race gender or culture.
