Sorrowful Snail has his House for Sale (2021) shows a snail alike many of us today. In need of a new shell, this sad little slug must find his way to another home. But to where is he expected to up-shell? With a shell as majestic as his, he will surely find another to spare.
This illustration was first sketched by hand and then digitally rendered in Procreate. Each shape was created as a new layer onto which I applied hand-created textures using materials such as ink, watercolour and gouache.
