NDC Thematic Branding - Design Learning (2021)
The National Design Centre (NDC) is the nexus for design, where people meet to exchange ideas, use the amenities and attend design-focused exhibitions and programmes.
 
One of the highlights of this year for us has been creating visual design for the monthly thematic programme by Design Singapore. For the month of February, Adriane, Syahrul and the team have developed the visual identity based on Design Learning. 
 
Design Learning is a process where there is constant discovery and exchanging of knowledge and experiences. It enables us to gain an understanding of the people around us, and thus establishes stronger ties.​ Working with this definition, the team has developed the identity design that celebrates the joy of learning and the connection between people.
 
The fluidity of lines reflects the endless drawing of connections and exchanging ideas between the human figure to foster greater collaboration among the community. Connecting to each human figure is a circle that represents one of the 3 senses — sight, hearing, or taste.​ Bearing in mind the various applications of design at the start of the project, the programme identity is one that can be scaled and adapted for the physical space installation or online social media posts.
