A redesign for a music streaming powerhouse (2021)
Spotify is a music, podcast, and video streaming service that offers you access to millions of songs and other material from around the world. Daniel Ek, former CTO of Stardoll, and Martin Lorentzon, co-founder of Tradedoubler, created Spotify in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2006. According to Ek, the company's name was first misheard as a mispronunciation of a name screamed by Lorentzon. Later, they devised an etymology based on the words "spot" and "identify." Spotify reported a client base of one million paying members across Europe in March 2011, and the number of paying subscribers had quadrupled to two million by September 2011. With over 365 million monthly active users, including 165 million paying customers, it is now the world's largest music streaming service provider
This redesign attempt is dedicated to the fantastic platform. Spotify Mobile is a magnificent native, beautifully made program that has been designed with aesthetics and usability in mind, and it is packed with some practical and strong features. The platform is great in its existing iteration, but I thought I'd give it a 2021 revamp and update it to better reflect the present.
