Shades of Calanchi.
The Calanchi (Badlands) are defined as an open-air museum rich in fossils. Some studies have made it possible to reconstruct in detail the history of the stratigraphic-environmental evolution of what was the bottom of a sea, which existed in the Quaternary (about 1.8 million years ago).
Various paths and runways cross the Calanchi of Montalbano Jonico. Particularly interesting are some paths that connect the city to the countryside. Today still viable.
This is my tribute to my homeland, a symbol more than others of the passage of time.
