Project description:
Time and place testify to Egypt’s position and role throughout history, and Egypt would not have maintained that position without the will and struggle of its people and expressing it through 3 axes that represent the flag of Egypt for what each color symbolizes and expresses. Where the red color, which represents the color of the blood of the martyrs who sacrificed for the sake of the homeland, as well as radiance, hope and strength, expresses it in the first plot of land. And the white color in the flag expresses peace, prosperity and purity. It is expressed through the plot of land in the middle of the project. As for the last piece of land, it represents the black color with the flag, which expresses the eras of colonialism and oppression that Egypt got rid of and expressed in the project through the scattered formation of the elements of desert and dry site coordination.
CONCEPT :
Design of the Memorial is based on 4 basic values that distinguish the Egyptian people through the ages: interdependence / struggle / dignity / freedom and the expression of these values through 4 scenes in the history of the people of Egypt, each value of which is represented by contemporary art called the Anamorphic Art A distorted projection that appears naturally when viewed from a certain perspective and depends on optical illusion and gives diversity, movement and suspense to the user, which creates a different and interactive experience for him and integrates with the use of optical fibers, which gives this feeling of belonging to the scenes in the monument through reflection The image of the user on it and its integration with the expressed values, where the citizen is the protagonist of the novel. When night falls, light fills the place, and the optical fibers glow like a distant star in the sky. While allowing visitors to interact throughout the day.
