Peter Kovacsy Cast Glass Sculpture Studio - Western Australia
This project documents Australian artist
Peter Kovacsy designing and making two large-scale cast glass sculptures for a private collector located in
Southern Forests Region of Western Australia.
This project started in November 2021 and
was completed in July 2022.
After generating design concept sketch's on a chalkboard Peter then drafts the full scale version that is cutout in plywood. It's at this stage Peter starts refining the overall shape and form, ultimately leading to how the glass sculpture will stand in real life when it is cast.
Peter generally starts the preliminary design process for a new work by generating a series of rough sketches on a large chalk board in his studio. Once confident he has resolved the design he transcribes these sketches into an artist visual diary.
