Work for The 188 Dog Rescue Group

In 2019, one hundred eighty-eight dogs were rescued from a harrowing situation in New Jersey. Thanks to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center and the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals the dogs, predominantly Parson Russell Terriers (commonly known as Jack Russell Terriers), were rescued from the 10 acre farm and treated by a staff of veterinarians and behavioral therapists. I was tasked with designing a logo for the group, a calendar featuring the rescued dogs, getting the word out in a blog post and designing products to raise funds for them.
Minute long video for social media to get the word out:
Using photos for the calendar and social media that were taken by the rescuers instead of a photographer required a lot of photoshop work. Each owner sent about 3 images of their dogs, most of which needed color fixing, backgrounds blurred or removed and cropping, sharpening, etc.
The 2020 Calendar, shown below, sold out.
Some of the products designed for The 188 Rescue Group Zazzle Store whose partial proceeds still go to the rescue foundation. Shop these and more at here
44 of the 188 dogs that were rescued. A year later, over 90% have been rescued.
