Global warming is inevitable coming.
The most effective solution to prevent it would be the change in human behavior. However, such a mental shift alone wouldn’t be enough at the stage we are on now. We cannot move on without fixing the problems caused in the past. We cannot move on without knowing how to deal with the problems of the future. That is why crucial sphere that has to be prioritized is a Science. Maybe if we could engage more people to do science could help the humankind? If only we could propose a new typology of Research Centers. The centers that could provide enthusiasts and young specialist with a place to work in of their dreams…
What if we could design such a center and place it in the heart of emerging challenges – in Arctic? Designing unique and futuristic piece of architecture that questions the reality might help with it. It’d inspire young brains to come, propose and implement ingenious solutions that can save our Planet for future generation. Moreover located directly in ice the ARC is able to constantly control the temperatures, take the probes, track ice shifts all the time and react on it immediately by sending the expedition machines.
Sure the project is too futuristic to be implemented but I hope that its provocativeness is aimed to emphasize the current and upcoming problems we’re facing with and importance of science in order to sort it out.
