Familiar
One of the concepts for Familiar in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. My idea was pretty simple... everything familiar, familiar sights, sounds, tastes, smells, feelings, faces and even a familiar font. Part of the idea was to tie everything in with the local area by shooting local people and using them as the stars of the posters that would be pasted all around the inside and outside of the venue.
I paired the familiar things with geometric shapes to give a graphic elements that could also be used across the branding. Then I just used some nice type to try and give it that familiar feeling but its own personality.
Unfortunately the venue got pulled at the last minute so this project was never taken any further than this stage and I thought it deserved a little more than living out its existence on a hard drive.
