Glossier Brand Photoshoot (Portfolio)

Glossier Art Directed Photoshoot
This art directed photoshoot was created as part of a portfolio piece to improve the quality of our Product Photography offering in order to appeal to DTC Brands.

We endeavoured to give each image it's own creative edge whilst still feeling part of a set and sticking as closely as possible to Glossier's brand guidelines.

Cloud Paint
The blue background was used to represent the sky and the cotton wool represent the clouds in the cloud paint. We liked the simplicity of this image. Although a blue pastel is part of Glossier's palette, they do tend to prefer their product photos on a white background, however as we designed these with social media in mind we felt we could use a little creative licence and kept the blue background very subtle.

Cocktails & Sunscreen
This image was designed with a little fun in mind. The Coconut Balm product was originally released with a photoshoot by the pool in mexico. Continuing with this theme, apparently every girl needs her two best friends with her when enjoying Palomas by the pool - namely Coconut Balm Dotcom and Invisible Shield Sunscreen (of course).

The Whole Crew
The whole band shown together. Boy brow always has to fly in to steal the show at the last minute. (Typical lead singer)

Invisible Shield
This one was a playful riff on the name of the Invisible Shield Sunscreen - The glass dome representing the invisible shield, the yellow kinda representing the sun and the clouds are just there to tie everything together.

I Don't Think You're Ready For This (Milky) Jelly
Doesn't really need explaining. Milky Jelly Cleanser, milky jellies - not the most original but hey we're not trying to be too abstract.

Chalk It Up
Exfoliating Skin Perfector is one of Glossier's most popular products due to its acidic ingredients that help to clear pores and reduce inflammation. This edible chalk is probably the nicest looking porous rock we could find to represent pores. (No really, people eat chalk - look it up)

What do you think? We'd love to hear your comments!

These images were not commissioned by Glossier - but who knows perhaps we'll get to work with them soon!

The props in this shoot will soon be available for sale at www.thestill.life
