These seascapes were captured this week in conjunction with my project brief task. It was a very windy day, producing high waves and lots of sea spray, which added drama to the images but made the shooting conditions very challenging.
My chosen composition for these shots seeks to best present the contrast in tones and textures between the layers of pebbles, sea, wall and sky, with the seawall pointing out into the ocean to add further drama. I like how the rolling steps in the beach match the rolling crests of the waves in the sea.
I used a polariser and ND filter plus a tripod weighted down with a rock to help me in capturing these images.
In hindsight I am generally pleased with my approach but due to the conditions I had to work much faster than I would have ideally like to liked
