The MATES Mentoring program is an initiative within western Victoria, and G’Day MATES aims to expand upon that by adding a benefit to men who join the program. Usually this client struggled in encouraging men to become mentors, and through the G’Day MATES campaign we sought to reach a more masculine and ‘blokey’ audience. Furthermore, the issue of mental health, especially with men in rural communities was something which we also want to address, using this communal space to develop a focus on mateship, and encouraging a large focus on mental health.

The MATES Space: We advertised a MATES Space, somewhere people could come and discuss the mentoring program and seek a community aspect within the program.
