✨🌿 At the Castle kitchen 🌿✨
Mother Beaver has a very kind and generous heart, so her real passion is cooking for all Castle inhabitants! One of her favorite recipes is hot mushroom soup with garlic that literally warms you up and makes you feel happy.
Process
A mood board or a reference list to catch the atmosphere of the future illustration: photos and illustrations of inspiring artists I found on the web. As always, I included my own pieces with suitable mood, character design and color palette.
First are super rough thumbs, leading to the final main thumb. Then search stage, where I add details and define shapes.
After that, I make a clean sketch, then choose flat colors. During this stage I thought that something is missing in the character of this lovely head cook. It was a chief’s hat! After adding this particular item, her character became complete. The last stage is rendering illustration to its final look.
