The TARDIS through the universe

During the COVID-19 pandemic, and especially these last months,
I re-watched a few episodes of the famous british TV series, Doctor Who
produced and distributed by BBC. This fantastic sci-fi series, which has over
50 plus years of creative storytelling and fear-indulcing monsters
at its shoulders, certainly can be considered as one of
my favourite series of all time.

So, in homage to everything this series represents for me and so many other
Whovians (fans of Doctor Who) around the world, I made a new
personal project with the TARDIS at focus. The ship, an abbreviation of
“Time And Relative Dimensions In Space”, is the transportation device used
by the Doctor, the main character of the series, to travel throughout
the universe, disguised as a 1960´s british police telephone box.

As the TARDIS can land anywhere in all of time and space, the graphic arts
produced here are recreations of multiple destinations the Doctor and
its companions visited during the series, and also a few places based on
some of my previous projects as a graphic design and
creative advertisement student.

This project is not (and might never be fully) completed, as the history of
Doctor Who and its universe is ever-expanding, soon reaching its 60th birthday,
and there are plenty other stories that I would like to add to this project
in the foreseeable future.

The first 35 arts were produced during the first semester of 2021,
with more to come…
