"Celebrating Indonesian magical and cultural event"
Wayang is both the most ancient and most popular form of puppet theater that represents Indonesian culture to the world. Wayang is an Indonesian word for theater and taken from the word 'bayang' which means shadow or imagination, also connotes 'spirit in life.' Many Indonesians still believe the traditional Wayang Characters and medieval weapons such as Keris, Sword, and others have a special spiritual 'power' or 'aura'.
Wanting to celebrate an Indonesian cultural tarot reading event at Dia.Lo.Gue in Jakarta, we chose the famous story of Wayang and enrich it with weapons of the medieval era using hand-drawn illustrations. The drawing direction is approaching 'wayang kulit' style by detailing shadows on each character to give a 3D look and feel. The illustration of shapes such as circles, triangles, and others are used to give a feeling of 'aura' or energy or 'spirit' around the character.
