Expo City 2030 Sharm El-Sheikh
“City of Peace: The Destination "
" WDS Egypt 2021 " focused on the Sustainable design of new city of Sharm El Sheikh. In response to Egypt’s Vision 2030 and Sharm El Sheikh strategic plan. The project aims at Establishing Sharm El Sheikh as a global destination, where tourists flock for celebrations, shopping and festivals, firmly grounding the city as a hub for year-round visitors
- To fulfill Egypt’s development plan for Sharm El-Sheikh as a global touristic destination, we deeply analyzed and researched the current situation of Sharm El-Sheikh city and the government plan reaching a unified vision that will distinguish Sharm El-Sheikh among other cities: a city of festivals. To introduce the city as “the city of festivals”, we chose to host Expo 2030 Egypt as a launching project to our vision.
- Egypt Expo 2030 Sharm El Sheikh tackles a very important challenge: the nexus challenge. The Expo’s theme is Maat life. Maat is the Egyptian goddess of balance, and we chose her to represent the life of truth, harmony, and justice to achieve balance.
The project is considered a fully functioning neighborhood on an area of 1500 Feddans
Expo zone: The zone that will host Expo Egypt 2030. After the event, the zone will be a world trade fair which will host events all year long.
Formula zone: A Class-A formula 1 racing track and its facilities. In addition to a car showroom and a hotel.
Medical zone: a fully functioning medical zone that aims to be the biggest in the region. It has a general hospital, 3 specialized hospitals, 2 rehab centers, and a medical college and research center.
Accommodation zone: an accommodation district with hotels and resorts to accommodate visitors as well as an aqua park and culture center for entertainment.
Educational zone: it consists of biophilic international schools as well as a library and research center
Business zone: the main business district which contains all offices, some banks, hotels, Innovation center, Conference Hall, and Mall.
