I created this illustration in Adobe Fresco in early 2021, shortly after visiting the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in my hometown of Boston. It is based off a photograph I took of a pigeon perched on a Japanese roof tile overlooking the jewel-like courtyard. I didn't realize how symbolic this piece was in a transformative process I was undergoing subconsciously in regards to my religious and spiritual beliefs. 

Also, shortly after creating this the documentary "This Is a Robbery" came out on Netflix. After binge watching the series, I reflected on how objects bear witness to moments in history, and how our connection to them can help us make sense of our place in time and space, in the grand scheme of this world.
