Shiro Kuramata: Glass Chair

A study and quarter scale reconstruction of Shiro Kuramata's 1976 Glass Chair. As a reflection on Kuramata's minimal process and design, the model is constucted only using Plexi glass and super glue. The limited use of materials provides not only a contemporary design, but emphasises the concept of all elements of a product being visible.
Fin Loft: Red Pepper

The models below provide an exploration of de constructing a pepper and then constructing it through cross sections. The process began with the cutting a red pepper in 17 cross sections. Next, a primary smaller scaled model was constucted in Bristol Board. Finally, a full scale model was made with chip boards. Separators between each cross section allow the viewer to see the interior structure of the pepper.
