The Enfold Project

This movie was a client project I made with my classmate, Siddhartha Guhathakurtha. It is intended for the age group 10 to 14 year olds. The film tries to convey the message that there is no such thing as the 'perfect body' without being too preachy.
A brief screenplay of the film:

The first shot is that of two silhouettes of the ‘perfect’ male and female body drawn on two different glass panels placed against a blank wall. This is a long shot where we show both the panels in one shot.
In the next shot one boy and one girl enter the scene and see panels before them. They examine these, walking around them once, looking at each other before stepping in front of the glass panels.
We zoom into each of the two kids trying to fit into the frame showing the perfect body. They are crouching, standing on tiptoes, buffing their chest, tightening their arms and holding their breath. The camera zooms into each of their body parts that they are trying to mould into the frame. We show around eight to ten close ups of these to emphasize the point. Then we zoom out to a shot of the bottom half of the both the childrens’ body in one frame where we show one of the legs giving away and one of the kids falling. The frame is shaken up and there is a moment of stillness.
The camera zooms out to the one of the kids helping the other up. They look at each other for a second before they proceed to step onto the front of the mirrors to erase the lines, the ‘perfect body’ that had been drawn.
