Stickers Pride | Lettering + Ilustração

Para o mês do Orgulho elaborei uma série de stickers que abordam gírias / ditados / símbolos de cada siglas do movimento LGBTQIA+. Para o projeto foi desenvolvido 5 cartelas para cada sigla sendo elas: Lésbica, Gay, Bissexual, Transvestigênere e Queer. O lettering e Ilustração foram base desse projeto na comunicação visual com foco em buscar ressignificar termos.

For the month of Pride I created a series of stickers that address slang / sayings / symbols of each acronym of the LGBTQIA+ movement. For the project, 5 cards were developed for each acronym, namely: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer. The lettering and illustration were the basis of this project in visual communication with a focus on trying to re-signify terms.

Para a concepção de cada cartela foram elaborados dentre 6-7 Stickers, entre eles, a Sigla principal. Cada Sigla acompanha um estética diferente buscando experimentar as diversas formas de letras e elementos.

For the design of each card, 6-7 Stickers were created, including the main acronym. Each Acronym follows a different aesthetic seeking to experiment with the different forms of letters and elements.
PT - Para o primeiro, o L que se refere a Lésbica, uma das siglas que mais necessita de representatividade dentro do movimento LGBT. A luta de mulheres lésbica são duplas e vem desde cedo pela opressão do machismo e a LGBTfobia.
EN - For the first, the L that refers to Lesbian, one of the acronyms that most needs representation within the LGBT movement. The struggle of lesbian women is double and comes from an early age on the oppression of machismo and LGBTphobia.
PT - Para a segunda, o G que se refere ao Gay, foi selecionado. Sendo a pauta que me encontro, elaborei lettering + ilustrações de termos que passou por ressignificados nos últimos anos fortalecendo o movimento.
EN - For the second, the G that refers to Gay was selected. Being the agenda that I find myself, I elaborated lettering + illustrations of terms that went through new meanings in the last years, strengthening the movement.
PT - Para a terceira, o B que se refere a Bissexual, foi selecionado. Uma das siglas mais julgadas no meio, pessoas que são Bi lidam diariamente com a invalidação da sua sexualidade.
EN - For the third, the B that refers to Bisexual, was selected. One of the most judged acronyms in the business, people who are Bi deal daily with the invalidation of their sexuality.
PT - Para a quarta, o T que se refere a Transvestigeneres (Trans/travestis), foi selecionado. A sigla mais marginalizada e que, segundo @antra.oficial somente nesse semestre, de 2021, 80 pessoas trans e travestis foram assassinadas.
EN - For the fourth, the T referring to Transvestigeneres (Trans/transvestites) was selected. The most marginalized acronym is that, according to @antra.official only in this semester, 2021, 80 transgender people and transvestites were murdered.
PT - Para a quinta, o Q que se refere ao universo Queer foi selecionado. A sigla "guarda-chuva" abrange o que vai para além da heterocisnormatividade e busca por exigir reconhecimentos das diferentes formas de se compreender, existir e amar.
EN - For the fifth, the Q referring to the Queer universe was selected. The acronym "umbrella" covers what goes beyond heterocisnormativity and seeks to demand recognition of the different ways of understanding, existing and loving.

A composição visual de todas as cartelas se comunicam por meio da paleta de cores e traços na ilustração e Lettering. Em conjunto, os stickers segue tornam-se harmônicos e o uso de degradê no fundo.

The visual composition of all the cards communicate through the color palette and lines in the illustration and Lettering. Together, the stickers become harmonious and the use of gradient in the background.

O projeto durou dois meses para a finalização, em cada semana foi publicado em redes sociais como Instagram e Linkedin seguido o layout abaixo.

As cartelas serão comercializadas brevemente e stickers em gif publicados nas redes sociais. O projeto, sendo pessoal, ajudou na valorização do meio LGBT e em um novo pensamento na forma de como se produz materiais gráficos para esse meio, indo para além da bandeira e pensando na particularidade de cada Sigla.

The cards will be sold soon and stickers in gifs will be published on social networks. The project, being personal, helped in the valorization of the LGBT medium and in a new way of thinking about how graphic materials are produced for this medium, going beyond the flag and thinking about the particularity of each abbreviation.
