Planning and building MEGA Integration project in IKEA Ekaterinburg, BISTRO area.
The planning and construction phases of Bistro in the city of Yekaterinburg were carried out as part of the MEGA IKEA Integration project - integration of the shopping center space and IKEA.
It was planned about 400m2 for the Bistro zone and it had no analogues in Russia. In this regard, the Bistro zone has stopped performing only its main function, it has become a large social space. I was as a part of a big team and my task was to participate in the creating of layout, color and stylistic concept, the development of structures such as dividers, beverage islands, seating benches, grid ceiling solutions, lighting solutions, seating niches and product choice of finishing materials.
In general, the space has became alive and up-to-date, combining Swedish simplicity and pop art. For me it was an exсiting and quite useful experience of working with sales support areas.
