During the time when my father’s mother was admitted to Legacy House Hospice Care in Ocala, Florida, I began making photographs as a way of coping with my, soon to be, loss. These photographs are documentations of the last few hours of my grandmother’s long-lived life. They are ultimately our last interactions with someone who has been a mother, a grandmother, or even a great-grandmother to us during her last eighty-four years in this world. These photographs show the emotional state in which we were all going through separately, but still together as a family
