The Kingdom of Sleepy Winds is a series of illustrations I created for the 2020 Kids Tricks Week challenge. This series is inspired by folktales, legends and magic.
The Spirit of the Forest held out an old matchbox, in which lay a couple of inconspicuous pebbles. These are grains, he explained. A whole forest can grow from this handful.
Sometimes Boy was silent for a day or two. He listened to the breath of the sleeping winds. On such days, silence reigned in the world. Calmness was even in thoughts.
