Russians often declare — “Pushkin is our everything”. And even more often by just saying “our everything” they mean Pushkin (1799-1837). The most amazing, bright, melodic, playful and at the same time very deep poet, who miraculously converted verbal folklore into a new literary language. 
It is very unfortunate, that his genius is still almost impossible to translate accurately, you simply cannot give the sense of all meanings without losing the melody. 
With the oldest tales, that the Russian land still remembers, with an incredible world of wonders, with a deep dramatic composition and unbelievable imagery which distinguish his genius, Pushkin created an enormous world of ancient legends, described briefly in the first 29 lines of his entry to the poem “Ruslan and Lyudmila” and also depicted on the scarf “Pushkin Fairy Tales”.

В России говорят «Пушкин — наше всё». Говорят «наше всё» и имеют в виду А. С. Пушкина (1799-1837). Это самый удивительный, яркий, певучий, озорной и одновременно очень глубокий наш поэт, воспевший, перепевший для нас новым литературным языком всё несказанное и несказáнное. 
Величайший гений его, к огромному сожалению, до сих пор остается практически непереводным: невозможно перевести всю семантику смыслов, не потеряв напевность; сохранив песнь, донести смысл.
Пересказанные древние устные сказки, которые помнит русская земля, удивительный чудный мир, глубокая драматургия, невероятная образность — все это отличает гений Пушкина: огромный, полный древних легенд мир, изображенный на платке, воспет в 29 строках его вступления к поэме «Руслан и Людмила» («У Лукоморья дуб зеленый...»).
