Museum Candi - Reconstructing the history of Mataram

The Mataram Temple Architectural Reconstruction Museum is located in the Bukit Ratu Boko area, Yogyakarta. The area is located on the Prambanan Plains which is said to be the center of the Ancient Mataram Kingdom. In the area there are many archaeological remains that are still undergoing the conservation process to be returned to their original form. Due to the existing archaeological objects, this museum is a center for storing archaeological information presented through conventional and virtual media.

In the future, this area is projected as one of the tourism areas that recalls the heyday of the Mataram Kingdom in ancient times. To create an active tourism area on the Prambanan Plains, the Enshrinement Tour program was launched where visitors can be directed to the temples on the Prambanan Plains before ending up at the Museum.
