Based on Hamlet, this was created using watercolours and ink. I wanted the illustration to have an old vintage look. By adding the dots, it helps highlight the shaded areas, giving depth to the design. Combining watercolours and fine liners is something I would like to explore further in my graphic design projects and personal work.
Step 1: Pencil drawing on watercolour paper
Step 2: Paint in the shading
Step 3: Use a fine liner to define the shaded areas and add detail
Step 4: Fill the rest of the Skull in with the dots
