Zen was born in India, grew up in China, came to Japan, developed into Zen meditation, tea ceremony, Japanese gardens, etc., and spread throughout the world.
Oishi Matcha Potato Chips are made with the hope that people can experience the spirit of the tea ceremony through sweets.
We hope that through this snack, you will be able to feel the beauty of Zen in the tea ceremony, and that it will help you relax in your busy daily life.

My illustrations are inspired by the natural world.
There are abundant beautiful form in nature that are the origin of design. Humans can never compare in terms of beauty and creativity. There are decrees in nature for flowers and on that premise, they sprout, flower, make seeds and die. Then when the spring comes, they sprout and blossom again. The repetition of this life cycle is totally mysterious, and I am absolutely fascinated by it. I am still continually attempting to express through my repetition of detailed human drawings, this power of life that exist in millions of variations, from the micro to the macro.

The great feature of this illustration is that it gives a different perspective by zooming in and out. Especially, after zooming in, you will find such detailed design, that you may be astonished. I believe to try to astonish the observer is very important as it can reach to and moves the heart. I wanted to create something that shocks and so deeply touches people.
My deep feelings about the motifs in my artworks and the concept behind the creation of the Oishi Matcha Potato Chips coincided.
