Factory Fifteen and Nexus Productions brings the D&AD award pencil to life within several animated stings for the 2014 call for entries. Each category is represented within hidden animated worlds inside the D&AD yellow pencil award. Each world is built from several past winners of the award from each category, all brought to life in playful animation in a miniature model scale. The animation proceeds and follows a 'I wish I'd done that' interview of acclaimed design or advertising ambassadors as they talk through an example of a stand out piece which 'they wish they had done'. AUDI TT
The classic car design of the Audi TT is represented here in miniture form on a rotating platform, mimicing a car showroom. 
TIP TON CHAIR
The 'Chars' are modelled and showcased on a wooden conveyor belt on a production line with robotic arms moving the chairs from platform to platform. 
GRAPHIC DESIGN: LETS MAKE GREAT ART TOGETHER / DON DELILLO
The graphic design ex-winners are showcased on book display platforms which animate open as the camera passes. 
PLUMIN LIGHTS
The plumin light design is replicated as decoration around the edges of the design carousel, spinning into position. 
FONT: NOW IS BETTER
This wacky font design is realised in 3D cubes on slanted platforms on hte top of the main platform.

THE GUARDIAN, THREE LITTLE PIGS
Paper, card and wood are used to create abstracted versions of the Guardian's three little pigs campain, illustrating the moment when the pigs are held in trial for the murder of the big bad wolf. 
CANAL+ THE BEAR
The asperations of a bear rug is brilliantly realised in the original Canal+ advert. We have taken key moments in the advert and created carved wooden versions of the scenes, highlighted by the moment the bear throws a bunch of paper into the air in the 'directors' scene. 
HONDA GRRR
The colourful and cute animation for Honda, is re-represented in wooden form. The old engine chuggs away past the camera at the beginning only to transform into the newer version as it passes around the pencil.

TRILLION DOLLAR CAMPAThis print campain is simply represented on model billboards which pop up as the camera flys into the model. 
PRINT ADDS
Several award winning print campaigns are represented on posters next to escalators, similar to that in underground stations.

This rich graphic campaign is carved into the pencil, half wood half lead, embossed.

DUMB WAYS TO DIE
The colourful and dark characters from this viral campaign are further realised in 3d, replicating all of the charm from the original, but fitting in with our miniture model aesthetic.  
GREENPEACE RAINBOW WARRIOR
The Rainbow Warrior itself is modelled in simplified 3D geometry, riding the pixilated waves through the base of the slice. The %complete counter is also represented in an old flip calender. 
 
OLD SPICE MAN
The hilarious short old spice man stings went viral on the internet. Here we are representing him in his various poses, in spring loaded pop up, cardboard signs. 
THE WORLDS MOST VALUABLE SOCIAL NETWORK
This heart renching campaign set up to find missing children had some great graphics in it's original version. We have taken some of those graphics and transformed them into childrens mobiles. 
WILDERNESS DOWNTOWN
The original music video from Arcade Fire was a revolution in it's experimental aprouch to digital storytelling, creating a custom experience for each viewer with location based pop up screens and a html5 random algorith. This is represented in our carousel as wooden internet windows which bounch into shot as the camera flys by.
