Rakuda

The name of the restaurant derived from a sir name uncommonly found in the southern regions of China; specifically, in the Fujian/Teochew community. The name (駱) - Luo is defined as a white horse with a black mane.

The shape of a horse with its head raised, its tail raised, and its movement in fashion is the paradigm of a horse. It is the paradigm of each to speak one's own words and do something but not listen to each other.

马之昂头怒目扬尾奋髦展行之形是马之范式。自说自话有行而止之不相听是各之范式。

From Rakuda’s identity, the inspiration and idea were taken from a 100-year-old businessman in Singapore who has been seeking a dining experience better than Shangri-la’s or Tsangs; most importantly, a fusion of Chinese and Japanese cuisine.

To incorporate both a high end dining experience whilst portraying as a prestige classed restaurant, the brand has taken the approach of incorporating White, Chinese Black, and Maastricht Blue to help boost the balance and harmony of the three colors with the East Asia region.
