For the second straight year, I used excel spreadsheets with variable data, connected to Adobe Photoshop to build quick graphics – that don't look like quick graphics, during the 2021 NHL Draft
I built all the assets using Excel formulas that auto populated the majority of the work, compiled the variable data in Excel and was able to produce a fully team-branded graphic with the player info, draft round and pick, and an auto-generated tweet ready to go with the team-specific hashtags.
I was able to post the image along with the tweet within 20 seconds of the pick happening in real-time. Check them out here, along with a video look at all 32 teams with #1 pick Owen Power.
