Despite Deborah being what is considered a "boomer," her book is targeted toward Millenials and Gen Z and speaks in a tone these generations understand and engage with.
Two requirements for the design were to keep it attractive for young readers, and at the same time keep it as gender- and culturally neutral as possible. This criteria motivated the choice of colors and the brain-heart iconography, as universally recognizable elements of passion and intellect.
The interior design uses a combination of typography and icons to set the difference between chapters, case studies, and exercises.
