McDonald's x BTS Re-design

The BTS Meal was such a huge success which became a big hit among the youngsters. Many people were willing to queue for hours on end to show their support and excitement. The enthusiasm was beyond the roof, whether you're a fan or not; everyone was equally excited. Here's my take on designing the packaging and branding. The main colours I used is to represent both brands, purple represented BTS and yellow is McDonald's signature colour. ​​​​​​​


If you look closely, you can see that number "10" has a melting effect; this was inspried by their song called "Butter" which was featured on the main BTS Meal promotion video. 
Isn't it everyone's dream to own something that was signed by their favourite member? I created this design to fulfill their fans dream.
Since "Butter" was used for their promotion video, it just makes sense if I include some lyrics from the following song. The reason I chose these two lyrics is because its somewhat related to beverages; "hot like summer" represents hot drinks and vice versa.
The packaging is pretty self explanatory on it's own. The minimalist look gives a sense of curiosity.
"Borahae" or "I Purple You" is the single largest representative phrase of BTS and has been popularized by the band worldwide.
