I was recently commissioned by Perpetual Praise Worship Center to design a flyer and t-shirt for their annual walk-a-thon, aimed at raising funds for outreach missions in Kenya. The goal was for the shirts to have that "sellability" factor. The challenge was that I was given the pink shirt initially. I had to create a design that would be worn by both men and women, which was not easy using a bright pink backdrop, even though they are very common kenyan colors. I wanted the viewer to capture the idea of kenya instantaneously. So, inspired by native kenyan artists, colors and culture, below was the final outcome.
