Am Postbahnhof

In 2020 we were commissioned by Postbahnhof Development GmbH (econcept und minerva) / Eqviva Projektbetreuung GmbH & Co.KG with the visualizations for the project of the new building “Am Postbahnhof”.

The design by Michels Architekten / driessenarchitekten gmbh is structurally and creatively based on the historical buildings of the old postbahnhof station area and interprets the connection of the new building between the viaduct and the water tower in a unique way.

The materials and shape of the building create a connection with the old walls of the Postbahnhof, whilst also providing a contrast to the immediate surrounding building development of residential and office buildings.

Old track systems and turntables are integrated in the design, reusable and tangible in order to give the railway viaduct a unique flair and convey a new urban lifestyle and identity in the Area.
