MADEIRA BY NIGHT
PERSONAL PHOTO SERIES ABOUT FANAL FOREST BY NIGHT PAINTED WITH RGB LIGHTS
IN ASSOCIATON w/ SONY EUROPE
Since 2018, when I was in Madeira for the last time, I wanted to travel back to the island and visit Fanal forest, because the place just stole my heart and I felt constantly inspired by the surreal landscape and the everchanging weather conditions. Although the forest itself is a very popular location among photographers and travelers as well, I was thinking about how I could show a never-before-seen face of Fanal in a new series of photos. Lately I started to experiment with RGB lights in natural environments, and during my research I found out there isn't a lot of night time shots about the forest, so the idea was born. I envisioned the photos months before our arrival to the location, and the final results has come out just as good as I saw them in my head.
The photos were shot during the production of my new short film called 'THE UNQUESTIONABLE' commissioned by Sony Europe, for the launch of Sony's new flagship camera, the Alpha 1. You can watch the film here. Thanks for the help Gábor Böszörményi.
