En el 2008, un grupo de historietistas mexicanos nos unimos a experimentar con esto que llamaban ‘webcomic’. Hicimos un ‘cadaver exquisito’ (Como se le dice). No había guión, y el chiste es que cada autor tenía que continuar lo que hizo el previo.
La historia degeneró bastante rápido y francamente es una basura de argumento.

El dibujo sigue estando bastante bien. De hecho, nos lucimos. Supongo que fué que nos pusimos a competir. Hubieron invitados especiales, y los lectores metieron mucho de su cosecha en los comentarios. Se publicó originalmente en mi site produccionesbalazo.com y ahora lo pongo íntegro aquí.
Jugamos mayormente, Edgar Clement, Humberto Ramos, Tony Sandoval, Patricio Betteo, Lucas Marangón, Francisco Herrera y yo. Con colaboraciones ocasionales de Emmy Hernandez, Adrian Pérez, Ricardo García ‘Micro’, Pepe Quintero, Pepeto y Jorge Break. (Disculpen si se me olvidó mencionar a alguien pero como dije… esto fué caótico).

Back in 2008, a bunch of mexican comic book artists got together to find out what this ‘webcomic’ thing was. It was an “Exquisite Corpse”. There was no script, the only rule was for each author to continue whatever the previous one did.
The story degenerated pretty quickly, and it’s frankly…crap.
BUT…
The art level ended up being pretty good. I guess we all started ‘competing’. We had some special guests, and readers helped out a lot in the comments section.
The main players were Edgar Clement, Humberto Ramos, Tony Sandoval, Patricio Betteo, Lucas Marangón, Francisco Herrera and myself. With occasional work by Emmy Hernandez, Adrian Pérez, Ricardo García “Micro”, Pepe Quintero, Pepeto and Jorge Break. (Sorry if I forgot to mention anyone… as I said: this was chaos!)

Si leíste todo esto, notarás que fue un caos. Unos autores mataban personajes para que el siguiente autor lo reviviera. Nomás por moler.
Al final, se perdió un poco el ímpetu, empezamos a fallar fechas de publicación y el comic quedó inconcluso por varios meses hasta que Edgar Clément tomó las riendas y le dió fin a esta historia. Usó toda su habilidad para arreglar la trama, pero el daño era demasiado.
Fue un intento heróico.

This comic is in Spanish only (sorry) so if you couldn't read it, don't worry. It's pure chaos. Some authors killed off characters just so the next author had to bring it back to life.
At some point we lost the inertia and deadlines started to get missed. The comic was left unfinished for several months until Edgar Clement took it over and finished the story. In spite of using all of his considerable ability to write, the damage was too great.
It was an heroic attempt anyway.
